You Pick For Apples Event Info

So you wanna know about You Pick for apples. Well, we do hope to have You pick, but it is going to be a few more years. We knew when we bought the orchard that we were going to have to replant each of the groves and we started in 2019 with 1/2 of the oldest trees. We will continue this year with the other 1/2. Our apple trees were in one of these groves and they stopped producing and we have replanted about half of them. This means we have baby trees that need time, a few more years, before we will be picking apples from them. In the mean time – we will have apples and cider and fall activities. For You pick of apples I recommend you take the drive down to Scotts Orchard.

Breeden’s Classroom will use the orchard as our classroom. We have based these classes on our field trips which are primarily for K thru 5 grade children. This year, field trips are not an option for most schools and, almost all children are being home schooled in part. Our classroom will allow some time for play and some time for learning. Our classes will ask questions, find answers and hopefully have the children leave knowing more than when they arrived.

If you have a group or home school co-op and would like to have a private class experience, please contact us to arrange (class minimum and maximums apply).

Oct 28 – Creepy Crawly Outdoors. Snakes and spiders and bugs oh my. Just in time for Halloween learn why you should like our not so cuddly outdoor friends. Take a walk to see if you can spot a snake. Learn what spiders can do for you.

Classes are $8 per child with a cap of $24 per family. (If you have more than 3 children each additional child will be free). Please reserve for the number of children. Do not reserve for adults.
